Jharsuguda: In a shocking incident, the bodies of three members of a family, including a 7-year-old girl, were recovered from a playground near Lakhanpur under Brajrajnagar police limits in Odisha’s Jharsuguda district on Thursday morning.
According to reports, the deceased include a couple and their daughter — residents of Kalinagar in the area. All the bodies bore bullet injury marks.
Residents spotted the bodies lying in a playground in the area and informed the police who recovered the bodies and sent them for postmortem. The police have initiated a probe into the bizarre incident.
While it is yet to be ascertained whether the family members committed suicide or were murdered, an initial police investigation revealed that the man first killed his wife and daughter and then committed suicide.
