Bhubaneswar: Coming down heavily on the Congress party, BJP President and Union Minister JP Nadda dubbed it the “spokesperson of urban naxals” during a meeting in Odisha.
While addressing a meeting to mark the BJP’s membership drive in Bhubaneswar, Nadda said that the grand old party is encouraging disintegrative forces in the country.
He also condemned their stance on Article 370 and the abolition of triple talaq. He highlighted the differences between the two parties, emphasizing the BJP’s collaborative approach under PM Modi’s leadership.
“Under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Modi, we advance with the mantra of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas,'” he said.
Praising the BJP as the only true national and cadre-based party operating democratically having massive following, the Union Minister noted the party’s structure allows leaders to emerge from grassroots levels through dedication, not privilege.
“In the BJP, a leader is not born from privilege; rather, it is a party worker who rises through dedication.”
The BJP president also discussed the party’s membership drive, revealing the latest count has surpassed 6 crore. He mentioned that Prime Minister Modi was the first to re-register on September 2, followed by himself, Amit Shah, and the Defence Minister.
During his visit to Odisha, Nadda received a warm welcome from party workers and supporters, including Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and Odisha BJP president Manmohan Samal.
