Bhubaneswar: The Sub-Inspector (SI) of Nampo police outpost Karan Marandi, has been transferred for alleged negligence in the Jaleswar minor girl murder case.
Baleshwar Superintendent of Police has issued his transfer order to the district headquarters office.
According to reports, the girl had been missing for five days. Her body was found in a forest yesterday. Her family members claimed that they had lodged a complaint with the outpost when she went missing, but police did not register an FIR. The minor had gone missing on October 18 after leaving for a dance class. Her body was recovered yesterday.
After the body was found yesterday, the family has alleged rape and murder.
