Bhubaneswar: On the occasion of the birth anniversary of India’s “Iron Man,” Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, a National Unity Day (Rashtriya Ekta Diwas) oath-taking programme was held at Lok Seva Bhawan in Bhubaneswar on Thursday.
Officers and employees of the General Administration and Public Grievance Department, along with staff from various departmental offices located in Lokaseba Bhawan, participated in the ceremony and took the National Unity pledge.
The oath was administered by Surendra Kumar, Additional Chief Secretary of the General Administration and Public Grievance Department. Addressing the gathering, Kumar emphasised the significance of unity, integrity, and security for the progress of the nation and called upon all employees to uphold these values in their professional and personal lives.
The participants took a solemn pledge to dedicate themselves to preserving the nation’s unity and internal security and to spread the message of harmony among fellow citizens. Senior officers, deputy departmental officers, and other staff members were present on the occasion.
