Bhubaneswar: The former Chief Minister of Odisha and President of BJD, Naveen Patnaik, convened a motivational meeting at his residence on Saturday to boost the morale of his party workers.
“You all know that the BJP in Odisha has got four seats more than the majority mark of 74 in the 147-member State Assembly. In Delhi, the BJP is running a minority government. Hence, you should work hard, stay united, and strengthen the party,” Patnaik told party workers.
Patnaik, after post-electoral defeat in the Odisha Assembly and Lok Sabha elections, is continuously interacting with party workers at his residence discussing various aspects to strengthen the organisational foundation of the party.
In the 2024 assembly elections, the Biju Janata Dal managed only 51 seats. Meanwhile, the party was unable to retain any Lok Sabha seats.
Whereas, the Bharatiya Janata Party registered a landslide victory by winning 78 assembly constituency seats and 20 Lok Sabha seats.
