CM Majhi Hails Governor’s Appointment Of Vice-Chancellors In 14 Odisha Universities

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has expressed heartfelt gratitude to Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati for completing the appointment process of Vice-Chancellors in various state universities.

In a post on his X handle, the Chief Minister described the decision as “extremely welcome and timely” for strengthening and energising Odisha’s higher education system. “This step will bring administrative stability to our educational institutions along with aiding in extensive reforms in academic standards,” CM Majhi stated.

He further extended his best wishes to all the newly appointed Vice-Chancellors and expressed confidence that their knowledge, experience, and leadership would play a pivotal role in elevating the universities to new heights of academic excellence and making them world-class.

The appointments were made on Monday  by Governor Kambhampati in his capacity as Chancellor of the universities. Exercising powers under the proviso to sub-section (1) of Section 6 of the Odisha Universities Act, 1989, the Governor appointed Vice-Chancellors for 14 state universities.

“Heartfelt thanks to the esteemed Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati for completing the new appointment process for the Chancellor positions in various universities of the state. This is an extremely welcome and timely decision in the direction of strengthening and making dynamic the state’s higher education system. This step will bring administrative stability to our educational institutions along with aiding in extensive reforms in academic standards. I extend my heartfelt best wishes to all the newly appointed Chancellors. I firmly believe that their knowledge, experience, and leadership will play a pivotal role in taking the universities to new heights of academic excellence and making them world-class”, read CM’s post.
