Bhubaneswar: Commenting on the tall promises of the Opposition parties, Odisha Chief Minister and Biju Janata Dal (BJD) president Naveen Patnaik said that they are lying and shedding crocodile tears.

“They are neither sincere towards Odisha nor for its people. They remember Odisha during elections,” alleged Patnaik addressing election rallies at Bhawanipatna and Khariar under Kalahandi Lok Sabha constituency on Monday.

In Bhawanipatna and Khariar, Patnaik, in his usual unassuming style, directly interacted with the people seeking their views on the various welfare schemes being implemented by his government in the State. The crowd enthusiastically responded with ‘yes’ to the State government’s schemes like Mamata, Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana, Mission Shakti, LAccMI Bus, Nua-O Scholarship, KALIA, 5T School Conversion, Srimandir Parikrama Project, etc.

Patnaik appealed to the people to vote for the party candidates for the development of Kalahandi and Odisha. Kalahandi Lok Sabha candidate Labmodar Nial, MLA Candidates Rajendra Dholakia, Adhiraj Panigrahy, Pradeep Disari, Dibya Shankar Mishra, Pushpendra Singhdeo, Lalita Nayak, and Manorama Mohanty were present during the public meeting. Kalahandi will go for voting on the 13th of May in the first phase of elections.
