Bhubaneswar: Former Chief Minister and BJD supremo Naveen Patnaik on Saturday highlighted Odisha’s rich cultural legacy, describing the state’s monuments and heritage sites as “living chronicles” that narrate the grandeur of its glorious past.
In a social media post on the occasion of International Day for Monuments and Sites also known as World Heritage Day, Naveen Patnaik stated:“Odisha’s timeless monuments and heritage sites are living chronicles—etched in stone, sanctified by faith, and woven into our cultural fabric. They narrate the grandeur of glorious past and spirit of people who were way ahead of their time. On this International Day For Monuments and Sites, let us celebrate these timeless treasures and pledge to protect this priceless legacy, so that generations to come will draw inspiration from them.”
Patnaik emphasised that Odisha’s magnificent monuments and awe-inspiring architecture stand as eloquent testimonies to a civilisation that was centuries ahead of its time. He urged people to celebrate these priceless treasures and commit to their preservation for future generations.
