Bhubaneswar: BJD President and Leader of Opposition (LoP) in Odisha Legislative Assembly Naveen Patnaik departed for Delhi on a seven-day visit today.

According to sources, the visit is largely a personal and family visit rather than a political one. Naveen Patnaik has gone to Delhi primarily to check on the health of his elder brother, Prem Patnaik, and to spend some quality time with him. He is expected to stay in Delhi for around seven days. During this period, he may consult doctors regarding his brother’s health condition.

However, there is speculation that the former Chief Minister may also hold meetings with some senior political leaders and important personalities in the national capital during his stay.

Further details about his possible political engagements are awaited.
