Bhubaneswar: A 24-year-old student from Odisha was found dead under mysterious circumstances at a hostel in Kota, Rajasthan. Roshan Kumar Patra, a resident of Abhaypur under Jarada police station in Ganjam district, had been preparing for the NEET-UG exam and was staying with his cousin and friends at a hostel in Rajiv Gandhi Nagar.

According to the police, Kumar and his friends had studied late into the night, but when he failed to open his door in the morning, his friends assumed he was sleeping. However, when he didn’t come out for lunch, they knocked on his door, and upon not getting a response, informed the warden.

The local police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding Kumar’s death.
