Bhubaneswar: A man was arrested by Bharatpur police on Tuesday for allegedly raping his 27-year-old neighbour in the Bharatpur police station area of Bhubaneswar.
According to reports, the accused allegedly entered the woman’s house and raped her. The incident came to light after the woman’s mother took her to Bharatpur police station and lodged a complaint against the accused.
Acting on the complaint, police launched an investigation into the alleged incident and subsequently arrested the accused for his alleged involvement in the crime.
Police are conducting further investigation into the matter.
