Kalahandi: Prashant Pal, the Ranger in Narla forest in Odisha’s Kakalhandi district, was severely injured in an elephant attack on Sunday. According to reports, Prashant Pal was injured in an attack by an elephant herd at Jampadar near Tuppada in the district.
He was rushed to Bhavanipatna Health Center in critical condition.
It is worth mentioning here that last, forester Bhavani Naik was severely injured in an elephant attack breaking one of his hands. He was also admitted to the health center.
What is, however, concerning is that with the increase in man-animal conflict in the region, not only the common people but even Forest department staff are now victims of wild animals.
