Bhubaneswar: All India Congress Committee Odisha in-charge Lalji Desai will visit Odisha on Wednesday, July 1.
This is his first visit to the state after being appointed as the Odisha in-charge. During the visit, he will meet district-level presidents and discuss party affairs. He is also scheduled to attend the PAC meeting of the party on July 3.
Congress leaders and workers are excited to meet the new in-charge. Lalji Desai recently became the new in-charge of Odisha, replacing Ajay Kumar Lallu. The change is meant to revamp the party organisation ahead of next year’s panchayat and urban local body polls in the state.
Desai, who was serving as national chief organiser of the Congress Seva Dal, is expected to bring his grassroots experience and organisational skills to strengthen the party’s cadre base in Odisha.
