Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government will accept applications for the Subhadra Yojana from Saturday, aiming to enroll new beneficiaries in the ambitious welfare scheme. Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida announced that women aged 21 years and above can apply online through the dedicated Subhadra portal from tomorrow.
Women aged 20 or 21 can submit preliminary applications, but registration will be confirmed once they turn 21. The online application portal will be open to eligible applicants across the state, except in areas where the Model Code of Conduct is in force.
The Subhadra Yojana, launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on September 17, 2024, aims to provide eligible women aged 21-60 years with Rs 50,000 over five years. Each beneficiary will receive Rs 10,000 per year in two installments of Rs 5,000 each.
