Bhubaneswar: Three prominent universities of Odisha such as Utkal University, Rama Devi Women’s University, and Gangadhar Meher University are set to welcome new Vice Chancellors.
Raghubar Das, the Governor of Odisha, who also serves as the Chancellor of universities, has initiated the appointment process as the tenure of the current Vice Chancellors ends this month.
Meanwhile, the Governor has directed the Higher Education Department to expedite the appointment process and complete the appointment process soon so that academic activities will not be affected in the three leading universities of the state.
Notably, the then Governor of Odisha Professor Ganeshi Lal in 2020 had appointed Vice-Chancellors (VCs) to six State-run universities.
