Newborn Baby Found Deserted On SCB Premises

Bhubaneswar: A newborn baby was found abandoned near the Hepatology department at  SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack on Thursday morning.

The incident came to light after an on-duty staff Renuka Parida spotted the baby, weighing around 1.5 kg.

The hospital staff swiftly responded to the situation and admitted the baby to the Special Newborn Care Unit (SNCU) in the Gynaecology and Obstetrics Department, where the condition of the newborn is being closely monitored.

The baby’s condition is stable. An investigation into the incident is underway to determine how the baby was abandoned in the hospital premises.
