Bhubaneswar: The body of a newborn girl was found in a dustbin near the Paediatric ward of the premier government-run Capital Hospital in Bhubaneswar on Monday.
The body was spotted by some outdoor patients of the hospital and the matter was reported to the authorities concerned.
Subsequently, the hospital authorities informed the incident to Capital Police who reached the hospital and seized the body. The police have launched a probe into the matter.
The hospital authorities are examining the CCTV footage to find out who had dumped the body of the newborn girl in the dustbin.
