Newborn’s Body Recovered From Ditch In Odisha’s Gajapati

Paralakhemundi: In a shocking incident, the body of a newborn baby was recovered from a ditch here in Odisha’s Gajapati district on Monday morning.

According to reports, while cleaning the neighbourhood, a group of sanitation workers spotted the body of a newborn lying in the ditch and informed the Paralakhemundi Municipality officials.

Soon, the municipality officials and local police reached the spot and recovered the body from the ditch. The infant was confirmed to be a boy and was sent to the Paralakhemundi District Headquarters Hospital (DHH).

The police have launched an investigation to find the parents of the infant and who dumped the newborn in the ditch.
