Banki (Cuttack): A newly married couple allegedly committed suicide on Thursday in Bheda village under Banki police station limits in Cuttack district.
The deceased have been identified as Dharanidhar Sahu and Nirupama Sahu.
According to reports, Dharanidhar and Nirupama who had tied the knot hardly six months back were found hanging from a single piece of cloth in their room early in the morning today.
On being informed Banki police reached the spot seized the bodies and launched an investigation into the matter.
Police have dispatched the bodies to Banki Sub Divisional Hospital for the conduct of autopsy.
