Jeypore: In a shocking incident, a night watchman was found hanging inside Kendu leaf office at Borigumma in Koraput district.

The deceased, identified as Bhaskar Mahakund, from Kamta village in the same locality.

According to reports, the Borigumma police rushed to the scene, seized the body, and sent it to the Borigumma health centre for autopsy.

According to reports, Bhaskar had requested leave from his superior officer due to his poor health and his wife’s paralysis, which had left her bedridden. However, the department allegedly threatened to withhold his salary if he failed to report to work.

Bhaskar’s sister-in-law, Anu Mahakud, has come forward, alleging that the pressure from the office drove him to take the extreme step.
