Nine Odisha Districts Likely To Experience Thunderstorms & Hail Tomorrow

Bhubaneswar: As many as nine districts are likely to experience thunderstorms with lightning and hail with gusty surface wind speed reaching 50-60 kmph tomorrow. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued orange alerts to these districts.

The districts which are likely to be impacted by the weather conditions are Bargarh, Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak and Deogarh.

Besides, Sundargarh, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj may experience heavy rainfall (7-11 cm) and thunderstorms with lightning on Saturday.

The regional weather office has issued yellow warnings to Kendrapada, Jajpur, Dhenkanal, Angul, Boudh, Sonepur, Balangir, Nuapada, Kalahandi, Kandhamal and Nabarangapur. These districts may experience thunderstorms with lightning with gusty surface wind speeds reaching 40-50 kmph.
