Bhubaneswar: The areas surrounding the Bhubaneswar Airport, Raj Bhawan, and Janata Maidan have been declared as No Drone Zone/No Flying Zone ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to inaugurate the Utkarsh Odisha — Make in Odisha 2025 Conclave at Janata Maidan on Tuesday.
The announcement was made by the District Information and Public Relations Officer (DIPRO), Bhubaneswar, through an official letter issued on Monday.
According to the directive, strict restrictions have been imposed on drone usage in these areas to ensure the safety and security of the Prime Minister’s movement. The No Drone Zone declaration applies to the route from Biju Patnaik International (BPI) Airport to Raj Bhawan, Raj Bhawan to Janata Maidan, and back to the airport.
Media personnel have been specifically requested to adhere to the directive and avoid operating drones at the designated locations during the Prime Minister’s visit.
The Utkarsh Odisha Conclave, focusing on socio-economic development and investment opportunities in the state, is expected to witness the participation of dignitaries, industrialists, and VVIPs. The security arrangements have been tightened to ensure smooth conduct of the event.
