Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government has issued a stern warning to service providers, including Anganwadi workers, Jan Seva Kendras, and Mo Seva Kendras, against demanding money for the registration process of the Subhadra scheme.

The Women and Child Development Department clarified that no fees are required for application forms and online registration.

Despite this, reports have surfaced of service providers demanding Rs. 50 to Rs. 200 for forms and online registration. The government has taken swift action against offenders in several places.

One month’s salary of an Anganwadi worker has been stopped for neglecting to distribute application forms in Balasore.

A Jan Seva Kendra in Kendrapara district has been temporarily closed for demanding money.

The Cuttack Municipal Corporation also took action against a Jana Seva Kendra in Athagarh for demanding money from beneficiaries.

The government pays Rs. 15 per form, plus GST, to service centers for processing, scanning, and uploading. Citizens are urged to report any instances of service providers demanding money to the police.

Over 15 lakh Subhadra scheme forms have been registered across Odisha as of today.
