No-Flying Zone Declared In Ganjam For Aug 4-5 Ahead Of President’s Visit

Bhubaneswar: The Ganjam district administration has declared a comprehensive No-Flying Zone (including a complete ban on drones) in preparation for the Hon’ble President of India’s three-day visit to the state, which begins today.

The restrictions apply to the President’s entire travel route from Brahmapur Railway Station to Taptapani, covering Gosaninugaon, Andhapasara Road, Haridakhandi and Digapahandi Road on August 4 and August 5.

The ban also extends to the Taptapani Temple Complex, the Army Air Defence College at Golabandha, and all adjoining areas.

During the visit, the operation of drones, unmanned aircraft, powered aircraft, paragliders, hot air balloons and any other aerial platforms is strictly prohibited. Violators will face legal action under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, the Aircraft Act, Aircraft Rules and the Drone Rules.

During his visit, Presiedent will inaugurate Jagadguru Kripalu University in Cuttack on August 3. On August 4, she will travel by train from Bhubaneswar to Brahmapur before proceeding to Taptapani for darshan at the Maa Kandhuni Devi Temple and the Shiva Temple. She will later visit the Army Air Defence College in Brahmapur and is scheduled to return on the morning of August 5.
