Puri: The Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) has called fake the appointment letters for ‘Jagannath Temple Guard’ posts doing rounds on social media, and confirmed that no recruitment has been held for the post.
The forged letters, bearing what appears to be the official SJTA letterhead, seal and the purported signature of Chief Administrator Dr Arabinda Kumar Padhee, claim appointments under the Home Department. One such letter is addressed to Swasti Pritam Paikar of Jamarasuan under Gadamrigashira.
Taking note of the viral documents, the Officer on Special Duty (Security), SJTA, clarified that the letters are fabricated and that the administration has not issued any appointment orders for Temple Guards.
SJTA said it has launched an investigation to identify those behind the fake letters and warned of strict legal action against the creators and circulators of the forged documents.
According to sources, similar fake appointment letters have surfaced in the names of at least 16 persons. The administration has assured that the matter will be thoroughly probed.
