Bhubaneswar: There is no respite from the heatwave condition till tomorrow. The Bhubaneswar Meteorological Centre has issued a severe heatwave warning in the state until March 18.
According to the Meteorological Centre, the temperature in various districts of interior and western Odisha is likely to cross 41 degrees Celsius. The weather agency has issued an orange warning for six districts and a yellow warning for 15 districts for today.
While there is a possibility of severe heatwave conditions in Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, and Mayurbhanj districts, heatwave conditions have been predicted in Sundargarh, Boudh, and Balangir districts. Khordha, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Puri, and Jagatsinghpur may experience hot weather, while night temperatures may rise due to humidity.
On Friday, Jharsuguda was the hottest city, recording 41.8 degrees Celsius, while Sambalpur recorded 40.3 degrees Celsius, Hirakud 40.1 degrees Celsius, and Bhubaneswar recorded 37.2 degrees Celsius.
