Bhubaneswar: The “Nyaya Sanhita Exhibition,” organised by the Odisha Police at the exhibition grounds in Bhubaneswar, has emerged as a major attraction for visitors from all walks of life.
The stalls of the Special Operations Group (SOG), Odisha Disaster Rapid Action Force (ODRAF), and the Coast Guard are particularly drawing attention.
The SOG stall showcases weapons used in anti-Maoist operations and photographs of martyred soldiers, including recipients of the Ashoka Chakra and Shaurya Chakra. Visitors are also keen to see modern firearms from Germany, Bulgaria, Israel, Switzerland, the USA, Austria, and India, often taking photographs with the exhibits.
At the Coast Guard stall, high-powered drones are the highlight. Capable of flying up to 1 hour and 20 minutes and reaching heights of 4,000 feet, the drones feature 360-degree cameras with 25X optical zoom and 4X digital zoom. They operate in temperatures ranging from 5°C to 55°C and are considered vital tools for the Marine Police, which currently has 10 such drones.
ODRAF’s stall demonstrates the bravery and expertise of its personnel during disasters. Visitors are shown rescue operations, safety measures, and practical demonstrations on saving lives and property during floods, cyclones, and other natural calamities.
The exhibition offers citizens a unique opportunity to witness firsthand the courage, training, and rapid-response capabilities of Odisha’s police and disaster management forces.
