Bhubaneswar: Acclaimed Odia mountaineer Sidharth Routray met Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik at his chamber in the Odisha Legislative Assembly today. Routray shared his experiences on mountaineering with the CM during the meeting.
Sidharth has scaled three summits of three continents so far. These are Mt Denali in North America, Mt Aconcagua in South America, and Mt Kilimanjaro in Africa. He has a mission to scale 7 summits in seven continents across the world and fly the Indian National flag and ‘Bana’ of Puri’s Sri Jagannath temple atop these heights.
The Chief Minister appreciated Sidharth’s achievements and wished him success for future endeavours. Routray resides in the USA. He is the son of Jatani MLA Suresh Routray who was present along with Secretary to CM 5(T) VK Pandian during the meeting.
