Bhubaneswar: Odia YouTuber Priyanka Senapati locked her Instagram account amid the controversy surrounding her connection with Jyoti Malhotra, a YouTuber recently arrested for allegedly spying for Pakistan.
As per reports, after Jyoti’s arrest, she posted on social media, stating that her country comes first. However, she also clarified that she knew Jyoti only as a blogger.
Priyanka clarified that she knew Jyoti Malhotra through YouTube, and their interaction was limited to content creation. She stated, “I was completely unaware of the serious charges against her. Had I known she was spying for an enemy country, I would have never maintained any contact with her.”
Priyanka expressed willingness to cooperate with any investigating agency probing the matter in her social media post. In light of the escalating controversy surrounding her connection to an alleged Pakistani spy, Priyanka has locked her Instagram account.
Interestingly, similar to Jyoti, Priyanka has also shared several videos on social media during her visit to Pakistan. Priyanka, a resident of Kalika Devi Sahi near the Puri Sri Mandir, had her photo with Jyoti go viral when the latter visited Puri. Now, the Puri police have initiated an investigation into the nature of Priyanka’s relationship with Jyoti.
