Bhubaneswar: The State Cabinet has approved the proposal of the Revenue and Disaster Management Department to lease government land measuring 40.197 acres in Keonjhar district to Dharanidhar University, Keonjhar, free of all charges.

The land, located in four mouzas (Suleikhamar, Satasingha, Gambharia and Bramhangaon under Keonjhar Tehsil), will be used for establishing the university’s North and South campuses. The cabinet has waived off non-recurring government dues amounting to Rs 140.71 crore and recurring dues amounting to Rs 50.26 lakh.

This decision is expected to reduce the financial burden on the university, a premier public educational institution in the state. The move will support the university’s growth and development, benefiting students and the region.
