Odisha Assembly Adjourned Sine Die Two Days Ahead Of Schedule

Bhubaneswar: The first session of the 17th Odisha Legislative Assembly was adjourned sine die on Wednesday, two days ahead of its scheduled conclusion. Originally set to run until September 13, the session, which began on July 22, continued for 25 working days, with a recess from August 1 to 19.

During this session, the state’s annual budget for the 2024-25 financial year was presented and passed. The Odisha Goods and Services Tax (GST) Bill 2024 was also approved on the final day of proceedings.

Speaker Surama Padhi announced the adjournment of the Assembly sine die, marking the conclusion of the session. The sitting ended with the traditional rendition of Odisha’s state anthem, “Bande Utkal Janani.”
