Bhubaneswar: In a significant move towards digitalization, the Odisha Assembly has introduced a paperless system, where members will use tabs during House proceedings.
This initiative aims to make the assembly more efficient and environmentally friendly.
The National Informatics Center (NIC) has launched the National e-Vidhan Application (NeVA) project, which enables members to access documents, reports, and other information digitally. The system is designed to reduce paper usage and promote transparency in the legislative process.
As per reports, one tab has been installed for each of the 147 members of the Assembly. Members will use tabs to access documents, reports, and other information, eliminating the need for paper.
