Bhubaneswar: If the India Today-Axis My India exit poll on Odisha Assembly election is to be believed, both the ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD) and the opposition BJP are running neck-to-neck to stake claim for the next government in the state.
According to the India Today-Axis My India exit poll, the BJD and the BJP are both likely to win anything between 62-80 seats in the Odisha Assembly election 2024. The Congress, on the other hand, will have to be satisfied with anything between five to eight seats. The exit poll has predicted that no fourth entity will be able to win any seat in the Odisha Assembly this time.
Meanwhile, another pollster Jan Ki Baat predicted 81 seats for BJD, while the BJP may get 58 seats. It has put Congress’ tally at 8 seats.
Contrary to this, both BJD and BJP leaders are claiming to get an absolute majority in the Odisha Assembly this time and form the next government. While the BJD has exuded confidence in winning 110 seats in the 142-member Assembly, the BJP is hopeful of getting a two-thirds majority.
