Bhubaneswar: Odisha BJP President Manmohan Samal has embarked on a two-day visit to Delhi shortly after the conclusion of the state executive committee meeting. The visit has generated considerable discussion within political circles.
Sources indicate that Samal is likely to hold discussions with the party’s central leadership on the decisions taken during the two-day state executive meeting. He is expected to present the outcomes of the meeting, key political resolutions and feedback received from the grassroots level before the national president and other central leaders. Talks may also cover central clearances for appointments to various corporations and boards.
With panchayat and municipal elections approaching in the state, discussions on organisational preparedness and the preparation of a roadmap are also likely.
Meanwhile, the state president’s Delhi visit immediately after the executive meeting has fuelled speculation that some new organisational decisions or changes within the party may be on the cards in the coming days.
