Bhubaneswar: BJP’s state president, Manmohan Samal has left for New Delhi for a series of crucial meetings that are expected to shape the party’s organizational structure and government lineup in the state.
Samal’s visit comes at a time when the party is gearing up for significant changes, particularly with regard to appointments in state committees, boards, and corporations.
According to sources, Samal is likely to meet with central leadership to discuss key issues, including the upcoming Vice-Presidential election and potential changes in the state cabinet.
With the BJP government in Odisha completing one year, there are expectations of significant changes in the cabinet and party organization. Currently, there are six vacant ministerial positions in Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi’s cabinet, and several party leaders are vying for positions in the state committee and boards.
Sources indicate that Samal’s meetings with the central leadership may lead to announcements about these appointments after August 20.
