Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) today declared the results of the Odisha Civil Services Examination, 2021. Sudev Kumar Prusty has topped the list. Among the top ten in the merit list five are women candidates.
The OPSC recommended a total of 432 candidates including 164 women candidates in the order of merit for appointment to the post/services coming under the Odisha Civil Services (Group-A & B)-2021.
The Commission recommended the candidates on the basis of the Main (Written) Examination held from 21st February 2023 to 18th March 2023 and the Personality Test held from 15th July 2023 to 25th July 2023.
While the candidates recommended under UR category is 229 (91-w), SEBC – 39 (12-w), SC -71 (27-w), ST -93(34-W), Ex-Servicemen – 08, Sportsperson – 01 and PWD – 10 against respective category. Altogether 164 women candidates have been recommended in the Select List, comprising 38 per cent of the successful candidates.
A total of 58,241 (20,930-women) applications were received for OCS Examination – 2021, out of which
29,295(10,284-women) candidates appeared at the Preliminary Examination held on 16.10.2022.
A total of 5296 (1749-women) candidates qualified in the Preliminary Examination.
The OCS (Main), 2021 written examination was conducted from 21.02.2023 to 18.03.2023 and 4430 (1539-w) candidates appeared in the main examination.
As many as 871 (313-w) candidates were called for Document Verification and Personality Test which was conducted in the Office of the Commission, Cuttack from 15.07.2023 to 25.07.2023 (including Government Holidays).
The notice issued by the OPSC said that one UR (PwD) post shall be filled up subject to the outcome of the W.P(C) No.22903 of 2023.
