Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi held a high-level review meeting on the establishment of major industries in Paradip. The discussions focused on the expansion of Paradip Port, development of a shipbuilding and repair facility, and other projects critical to the port’s growth.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister said that Paradip is set to emerge as a significant economic hub of India in the coming years. He advised officials to ensure that all infrastructure and industrial projects in the area are launched without delay.
The review also included discussions on the Paradip Petrochemical Project and the Integrated Steel Project. Land acquisition, necessary approvals, and other preparatory work for these projects were examined in detail.
Majhi directed the district administration and industry officials to resolve pending issues promptly and expedite the establishment of industrial units. He emphasized prioritizing employment opportunities for local youth across all industrial institutions being set up in the region.
Industries Minister Sampad Chandra Swain, Industries Department Additional Chief Secretary Hemant Sharma, Jagatsinghpur MLA Amarendra Das, Jagatsinghpur Collector J. Sonal, and officials from the Paradip Port Authority were present and actively participated in the discussions.
