Cuttack: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will inaugurate the newly-built Netaji Bus Terminal in the city on Saturday. The inaugural event of the bus terminal is scheduled for 4 pm today.
As per reports, a special helipad has been built in Sunshine Field and necessary arrangements have been made for route lining. A carcade rehearsal was also held on Friday.
The Commissionerate Police have made tight security arrangements in the proximity of the bus terminal. As many as 20 platoons of police force along with 100 police officials will be deployed at the event.
Besides, arrangements have been made for smooth traffic management in the city, informed Cuttack DCP Pinak Mishra.
“In view of the Chief Minister’s visit to the city for the scheduled event of the Bus Terminal inauguration, necessary arrangements have been made. Arrangements for helipad, route lining, and police deployment at the event have been made. More than 20 platoon police and over 100 police officials have been deployed,” said DCP Mishra.
“CM will arrive in a helicopter and land at the helipad. By road, he will proceed to CNBT. Necessary arrangements have been made for route lining and road traffic management. A huge congregation is expected at the event as residents of the city are highly excited about the project. High-security arrangements have been made for the same,” added Mishra.
