Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Sunday expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Minister for Electronics & IT Ashwini Vaishnaw for approving the establishment of the ‘NaMo Semiconductor Laboratory’ at IIT Bhubaneswar.

In a statement shared on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), CM Majhi highlighted that the Odisha Cabinet had recently approved the State Semiconductor Policy, alongside signing multiple Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with leading semiconductor companies. He said this significant move would position Odisha as a major hub for semiconductor research, design, and advanced manufacturing.

“I am confident that the ‘NaMo Semiconductor Laboratory’ will inspire our youth, accelerate research, and further strengthen Odisha’s position on the national and global semiconductor map, while advancing ‘Make in India’ and ‘Design in India’ initiatives,” the Chief Minister said.
