Odisha CM Thanks Union Railway Minister For Remarkable Railway Modernization

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has expressed deep appreciation to Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw for the unprecedented transformation in the state’s railway infrastructure.

In a post shared on his official X handle, CM Majhi highlighted the critical role of railway development in the progress of Odisha and the nation stating “The development and modernization of railway infrastructure is an indispensable component in the developmental trajectory of the entire country, including Odisha. In the recent few years, along with an 80% increase in train speeds across the railway network, extensive reforms have been introduced in safety systems. Due to the renovation of railway tracks and the application of state-of-the-art technology, passengers today are gaining the experience of a safe and convenient journey. This unprecedented transformation observed in the railway sector and the roadmap for the future is of utmost importance. A robust transportation system and improved infrastructure will indeed be instrumental in realizing the vision of a ‘Developed India’ and a ‘Prosperous Odisha.'”

Accompanying the post, CM Majhi shared a detailed table showcasing the impressive progress in Railway Modernization & Electrification in Odisha. The data reflects a massive leap forward: In the key Odisha Modernization category, progress surged dramatically.

Several other segments also recorded significant gains, with many categories achieving 87.9% to 98.7% completion.

The overall total stands at 100% achievement in critical modernization and electrification targets.
