Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi will participate in the grand ‘Ekta Marathon’ in Balasore district on November 13, commemorating the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the ‘Iron Man of India,’ Balasore MP Pratap Chandra Sarangi said on Sunday.
“The Chief Minister will join the unity run, which will begin from Nilagiri and conclude at Mitrapur,” MP Sarangi added.
The marathon, themed on national unity, integrity, and brotherhood, aims to inspire collective pride in the country’s diversity while highlighting Sardar Patel’s instrumental role in uniting India.
Apart from the main event at Nilagiri, similar unity runs will be held at Bhograi and Balasore town on the same day, he said.
MP Sarangi also stated that the district administration, local leaders, and youth organisations are making all necessary arrangements to ensure the smooth conduct and success of the marathon.
