Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi’s return journey from New Delhi was disrupted on Friday morning due to adverse weather conditions in Bhubaneswar. His Air India flight, AI-473, was diverted to Kolkata, landing safely there instead of at Biju Patnaik International Airport, where it was originally scheduled to touch down around 9:40 am.
As per reports, due to heavy rainfall and poor visibility in Bhubaneswar, the pilot deemed it unsafe to land, diverting the Air India flight carrying Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi to Kolkata instead.
Also, the Biju Patnaik International Airport authorities confirmed that heavy showers and poor visibility briefly disrupted operations, resulting in delays for multiple flights, including the diversion of CM’s flight to Kolkata.
