Bhubaneswar: The Congress party in Odisha has forgiven its leaders who were either suspended or expelled from the party for various reasons.
The new president of Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC), Bhakta Charan Das has revoked the suspension and expulsion of all such leaders who were suspended or expelled.
“Several Congress leaders in Odisha were suspended or expelled from the party in the past for some reasons. The OPCC has now revoked the suspension/expulsion of all such leaders,” Das said in a press communique today.
The OPCC has also extended an invitation to leaders who deserted the party in the past to return. “Several leaders have left the Congress party in Odisha for various reasons. They have been requested to return to the party fold. The party will welcome back those who believe in its ideology and principles,” Das said.
