Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government has deployed 66 City Level Technical Cell (CLTC) professionals across Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) in the state to facilitate the smooth implementation of Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana (Urban) 2.0 (PMAY-U 2.0).
According to an order issued by the Housing & Urban Development Department on Wednesday, the professionals have been deployed with immediate effect to provide technical and handholding support to ULBs implementing the housing scheme.
The deployment has been made under the Odisha Urban Housing Mission (OUHM), with the professionals assigned to various municipalities, Notified Area Councils (NACs) and municipal corporations across the state.
The CLTC professionals will assist the respective ULBs in ensuring the effective implementation of PMAY-U 2.0 and addressing technical and operational requirements related to the scheme.
As per the deployment list, professionals have been assigned to ULBs in districts including Anugola, Baleshwar, Baragada, Bhadrak, Khordha, Balangir, Boudh, Kataka, Debagada, Dhenkanal, Gajapati, Ganjam, Jagatsinghpur, Jajpur, Jharsuguda, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Kendrapada, Kendujhar, Koraput, Malkangiri, Mayurbhanj, Nayagada, Nuapada, Puri, Rayagada, Sambalpur, Subarnapur and Sundargarh.
In Khordha district, CLTC professionals have been deployed to the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation, while several professionals have also been assigned to the Kataka Municipal Corporation.
Similarly, multiple professionals have been deployed in Ganjam district to support ULBs including Brahmapur, Asika, Bhanjanagar, Sorada, Chikiti, Digapahandi, Khalikote, Rambha, Purushottampur, Kabisuryanagar, Hinjilikatu, Kodala, Polasara, Buguda, Belaguntha, Gopalpur, Chatrapur and Ganjam.
The deployment also covers major urban centres such as Sambalpur, Rourkela, Puri, Rayagada, Baripada, Kendujhar, Baleshwarand Jharsuguda, besides smaller municipalities and NACs.
The department said the deployment has been undertaken to provide handholding support for the smooth implementation of PMAY-U 2.0 at the grassroots level.
