Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government has made a significant reshuffle in the IAS officer’ level. According to a notification issued by the General Administration and Public Grievance department, Rajesh Prabhakar Patil, Commissioner of Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC), has been appointed as Commissioner-cum-Secretary to the Government, Co-operation Department.
He will retain his additional charge as Special Secretary to the Government, Housing & Urban Development Department, and Chairman, Odisha State Warehousing Corporation.
Dr. Bijay Ketan Upadhyaya, Director, Odia Language, Literature & Culture, with additional charge of Director, Odisha Paribar, will remain in charge of the Secretary, Odia Language, Literature & Culture Department.
Samarth Verma, Director, Technical Education & Training, Odisha, has been appointed as Director, Minor Minerals, Bhubaneswar. The post of Director, Minor Minerals has been declared equivalent in status and responsibility to the post of Additional Secretary in the IAS Cadre of the State. He will retain his additional charge as Managing Director, Odisha Film Development Corporation.
Deepankar Mohapatra, Ex-Director, Sports, with additional charge of Chief Executive Officer, Hockey Promotion Council, Odisha, has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer, Hockey Promotion Council, Odisha. The post of Chief Executive Officer, Hockey Promotion Council, Odisha, has been declared equivalent in status and responsibility to the post of Joint Secretary in the IAS Cadre of the State.
