Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has extended the deadline for registration and renewal of Pre-Matric and Post-Matric Scholarship applications for the academic year 2026-27, providing additional time to eligible students from various reserved and economically weaker categories.
The ST & SC Development, Minorities & Backward Classes Welfare Department on Wednesday said the last date for students to submit online applications has been extended to October 30, 2026.
The extension applies to eligible students belonging to the Scheduled Tribes (ST), Scheduled Castes (SC), Other Backward Classes (OBC), Socially and Educationally Backward Classes (SEBC), and Economically Weaker Sections (EWS).
Students have been advised to complete their registration or renewal process through the Odisha State Scholarship Portal by the revised deadline.
As per the revised schedule, educational institutions will have to verify and forward the applications by November 10, 2026. The last date for online approval of the applications by the approving authority has been fixed as November 30, 2026.
The department has urged students, educational institutions and other concerned authorities to adhere strictly to the revised timeline to facilitate the timely processing and disbursement of scholarship benefits.
It also clarified that requests for any further extension of the schedule may not be entertained.
