Bhubaneswar: The Mohan Majhi government on Thursday constituted an Inter-Departmental Committee to deliberate on the various issues raised by the Odisha Nursing Employees’ Association (ONEA).

A press communiqué issued by the government read, “The demands of Odisha Nursing Employees’ Association (ONEA) were discussed today. The government took stock of the situation and has decided to constitute an Inter-Departmental Committee to deliberate on the various issues raised by the Association.”

The release further said, “In view of the above, it is appealed that, keeping in view the importance of critical healthcare needs, the agitating nursing officers should desist from agitational path and resume their duty immediately.”

Contrary to this, the nursing association launched a full cease work agitation at the various state-run hospitals in support of its 10-point charter of demands.
