Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government has approved the creation of 72 new posts for the Odisha Uniformed Services Staff Selection Commission (OUSSSC) to strengthen its institutional capacity and enhance operational efficiency.
As per an official communication issued by the General Administration & Public Grievance Department, the proposal has received the approval of the Governor of Odisha. The decision was conveyed by Debabrata Mallick, Additional Secretary to the Government, in a letter addressed to the Accountant General (A&E), Odisha.
The newly sanctioned posts cover multiple administrative levels. These include one post each of Secretary and Additional Secretary, two posts of Joint Secretary, three posts of Deputy Secretary, and three posts of Under Secretary. Besides these, provisions have also been made for positions such as Accounts Officer, Desk Officer, Private Secretary, and Section Officer, among others.
The posts will be filled from various state service cadres, including the Odisha Administrative Service (OAS), the Odisha Finance Service (OFS), and others. Pay levels for the new positions will be determined in accordance with the ORSP Rules, 2017.
