Bhubaneswar: The Health & Family Welfare (H&FW) Department of the Odisha government has confirmed three sunstroke deaths in the State so far.
As many as 786 sunstroke cases have been registered in the State so far.
“Around 786 sunstroke cases have been registered. These cases have been registered in different districts. So far three deaths due to sunstroke have been confirmed after completion of due process of investigation, joint enquiry and post-mortem. Another 17 cases are under process,” informed the Director of Health Services Dr Bijay Kumar Mohapatra.
Dr Mohapatra said that the situation has improved over the last two to three days with a drop in temperature by 3-4°C and added that as of now there is no problem.
