Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Monday effected a minor bureaucratic reshuffle, appointing Suresh Kumar Vashishth as Principal Secretary of the General Administration and Public Grievances Department.
According to a notification issued by the General Administration and Public Grievance Department on Monday Vashishth, a 1998-batch IAS officer, was serving as Principal Secretary of the Social Security and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities Department, with additional charge of the General Administration and Public Grievances and Parliamentary Affairs departments. He will now hold the General Administration and Public Grievances charge as Principal Secretary and continue with the additional charge of the Parliamentary Affairs Department.
Similarly, Sudhansu Mohan Samal, a 2010-batch IAS officer and Managing Director of Odisha Mining Corporation (OMC), has been appointed Chairman-cum-Managing Director of the state-run mining PSU. He will continue to hold additional charge as Revenue Divisional Commissioner (Central Division), Kataka.
The additional appointment of Girish S N, IAS, as Chairman of OMC will cease from the date Samal takes charge.
Meanwhile, Dr Brundha D, a 2010-batch IAS officer serving as Mission Director of the National Health Mission with additional charge of Chief Executive Officer of the State Health Assurance Society, has been appointed Commissioner-cum-Secretary of the Social Security and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities Department.
